Introduction: As we wait for the Holy Spirit to come on us;

Message

When Jesus was about to leave this world, he gathered his Apostles together, and one of the disciples asked Jesus when to give power to Israel, to be installing king themselves; Israel was under the power of the Roman Government. Their King was been appointed from Rome. The Israelites expectation was that God sent messiah would come and free them from the powers of the Roman Government. When their expectation was not met, and Christ, the Messiah told them of his leaving this world, the Israelites were worried about this and asked; Lord will at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? He said to them, it is not for you to know, times or season that the father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit will come on you………

Christ told them not to have mind or focus on things of this world. Most of us are more concern of worldly things than spiritual things. Things of the world can pass away but spiritual things will remain forever. Many people today are worried about, having a child, money, woman, husband, having Doctorate degree, this and that. But Jesus, through his ascension message, is telling us to be concern with spiritual things. That, lets be filled spiritually and things of the world will be ours.

May the Lord grant us spirit of being concerned of his heaven, where Jesus has gone to prepared for us, where we shall spend our eternity forever and ever Amen.
